Undocumented Students and Financial Aid

The Federal Student Aid website includes this resource for undocumented students. Undocumented students without social security numbers (SSN) are not able to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

It is important to remember that in Tennessee, undocumented students are not eligible for federal or state aid, so institutions may waive the FAFSA submission requirement on their application. Please contact the specific institutions you are considering applying to and ask what their process is for undocumented students.
